I have some questions about fraud and would like to talk to someone, who should I contact?

I suspect that someone is committing fraud but I am afraid to tell my supervisor, what should I do?

If you prefer to report anonymously use the UC Whistleblower Hotline or call 1-800-403-4744 . Provide as much relevant information as possible in order for the matter to be thoroughly investigated.

I suspect that I have been a victim of identity theft, what should I do?

I want to be proactive and start assessing the fraud risks in my department, what steps should I take?

That’s great! We suggest you start with our Internal Control and Fraud Prevention checklist. Go through and provide an honest assessment of your department’s current state for each item, once you have completed the checklist you can review to identify areas where controls are weak and fraud risk is highest.
